"Very good, Dad!"
“棒極了，爸爸！”

"Did you see how poor people can be?" the father asked.
 "你看到窮人的生活了嗎？”父親問道。

"Yeah!" "And what did you learn?"
“是的！”“那你從中學(xué)到了什么呢？”

The son answered, "I saw that we have a dog at home, and they have four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of the garden; they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lamps in the garden; they have the stars. Our patio reaches to the front yard; they have a whole horizon."
兒子回答道：“我看到我們家只有一只狗，而他們家有四只。我們的游泳池一直延伸到花園中間，而他們的小溪沒有盡頭。我們在花園里裝了進(jìn)口燈具，而他們有滿天星斗。我們的天井接著前院，而他們擁有整個(gè)地平線。”

When the little boy was finishing, his father was speechless.
當(dāng)小男孩說完的時(shí)候，他的父親目瞪口呆。

His son added, "Thanks, dad, for showing me how poor we are!"
他的兒子接著又補(bǔ)充道：“謝謝爸爸讓我看到我們是多么貧窮！”
